Jim Chambers was born in 1954 in the East Midlands city of Derby and has lived in the Peak District in Derbyshire in the UK for the last thirty years or so. He has been married to Barbara for more years than they care to recall and is a family man with four (grown up) children and two grandchildren. He primarily writes fiction with a focus on business and political thrillers. His first book, Paradigm Shift, was self-published in 2013 and was followed by a novella, Perception, in 2018 and subsequently by The Hope Affair in April 2021, a 97,000 word contemporary thriller. Jim is a member of a writing group and is progressing towards the publication of another thriller with a working title of Urban Scarecrows. He is a businessman with experience in both executive and non-executive capacities in the Education sector, is a passionate Derby County football season ticket holder and loves mountain and hill walking almost as much as fine wine!

Vaseem Khan is the author of two award-winning crime series set in India, the Baby Ganesh Agency series set in modern Mumbai, and the Malabar House historical crime novels set in 1950s Bombay. His first book, The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra, was selected by the Sunday Times as one of the 40 best crime novels published 2015-2020, and is translated into 16 languages. The second in the series won the Shamus Award in the US. In 2018, he was awarded the Eastern Eye Arts, Culture and Theatre Award for Literature. Vaseem was born in England, but spent a decade working in India. In 2021, Midnight at Malabar House won the Crime Writers Association Historical Dagger, the world’s premier award for historical crime fiction. His latest book is The Dying Day about the theft of one of the world’s great treasures, a 600-year-old copy of Dante’s The Divine Comedy, stored at Bombay’s Asiatic Society.
